It may not be as soon as you think. I don't know if I'm going this year or next year.

That's fine. :)

Another question: what's meta-essence?

A term we use to describe an intersection of essences. An essence of essence, so to speak.

Hear, hear!

I found that just trying helps some.

M'kay...I'm not sure how good I'll be at essence mapping, but it's worth a try, I suppose. :)

*raises hand* I've a question!

Um...how is this different than freestyle? I did a freestyle map here's a portion of it:

-Body/Appearance:

First impression:
Tall
- A young tree
Figure
- A warrior
Hair
- A mane
- A shadow
- A knotted wood-grain

My question is, how is this freestyle method inferior to firstx and what is the difference other than formatting (or is there a profound difference in formatting in firstx that opens up new possibilities)?

I don't think I would say your freestyle is inferior to firstX...I like it myself. :) As far as I can see, the only difference lies in the formatting and the concept is the same, though it is hard to tell from the limitations of the example. FirstX is a very simple system, and you could have an endless array of syntax that you could use to express the same thing as it.

Really? Thanks! I think it's called Simple Essence Mapping...anyway that's what I was trying to do. ;)
If you want a bigger example, here's (an outdated version of) my first essence map: viewtopic.php?f=50&p=130474#p130474 if you want, I could show you the latest one by sharing the gdoc. :D
Okay, that's what I was thinking, thanks for the help! :D
