Go for it. Just find the right section of the forum - The Fireside - in either Fantasy, Science Fiction or Historical fiction.

You are encouraged to do so, if you like, in one of the sub-forums that we call "The Fireside." If it's fantasy, here, science fiction here, historical fiction url, and anything else in whichever seems best to you :)

Hi IHeartLife!

(Stop me if you've heard this before...)

Welcome to Holy Worlds!

I don't think 20,000 words fits into the definition of nano, but okay. :) That's awesome. Keep up the good work!

Doing anything in a NaNo counts as a good thing. I used to beat myself up if I didn't write the full 50,000. Then I did Camp NaNo and planned for 20,000. Wound up about 40,000+.

Whether or not we make the full word count is secondary to redefining "win". I win if I learn more about my writing and how to improve my craft and production rate. Each sub-skill I improve on is one less I have to actively "think about"; I just do it. That frees me to think about the story more.

So, keep writing! Note where you mess up and figure out ways to fix that. Note where you do well and do more of that. Lots more!

I thought she was saying she's written 20,000 words so far? Maybe I misunderstood.

A greeting from me as well! Welcome to Holy Worlds! (Hopefully you're not tired of hearing that.) Since Aubrey hasn't been on here yet, here's a cupcake for you! :dieshappy:
And whether you've already written 20,000 words or are going to, way to go! Keep the writing happening! I look forward to seeing what your story is about!

WHAT IS THIS? INSURRECTION!!

Yay, new people! So glad to meet you! Here's an OFFICIAL cupcake. *shifty eyes* ;)

Yes! Please post a chapter from your story! We'd love to read it!

(Although the technical NaNoWriMo challenge--if you want to formally "win" the main event--is 50,000 words, you can "rebel" with any goal. I'm rebelling this year since I'm mixing two projects, and some of it is revision of old material.)

Well howdy IHeartLife! Welcome to Holy Worlds!! So glad you decided to join. You're going to love it here whether you like it or not, because everyone is awesome and there may or may not be a lot of virtual glitter, purple penguins, and cupcakes (unless things have changed drastically since my very long hiatus, but I doubt it could have changed that much. ;)

What it means is that the cupcakes don't matter, because matter, while it cannot be created or destroyed, can change form.
