I like Hebrews 10:31. :D

Someone (maybe Paul) wrote:
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

In the context, it means that we have reason to fear if we reject Christ, but the first time I read it in going through a recent study, it reminded me of what it was like to first surrender my idols to him. It hurt, and I was afraid to release them, but letting go meant falling into the hands of Jesus.

I've had quite a rough time recently, and I read Psalm 94 and it was a real comfort to my soul during a troubled time.

Quote:
Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

I love this section a lot. Sometimes all one can do is hold onto the Lord and trust that His plans are perfect. I am grateful for His constant comfort when my thoughts are all over the place, and I'm not sure I can carry on. I'm so glad that I have a Saviour who cares for me, and when I feel that my soul is almost dwelling in silence, He is my help. <3

A couple of verses from Isaiah that have really encouraged me recently:

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 43 1-3
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour
