─¦Yavanna

A vast river with deep branches spreading in millions of rivulets to touch every place in the land.
Gathering a woman’s hair into your arms.
A single leaf broad enough and thick enough to robe a king.
Droning beetles flying in the falling rain.
A ponderous basket.
Fingers thrust into the mane of a slumbering lion.
A thickly grown oasis filling the shadow of a tall rock.
A massive scroll, yellowed with time, written in Hebrew.
A wheel within a wheel, full of eyes.
Grit in the teeth.
Footsteps with all five toes.
A thunderhead that rises into space, without lightning or sound of thunder, but with a sea of ponderous hailstones.
The earth giving out thunder as though it were a thundercloud.
A horn blast that shakes the dust and sand of every shore around the world.
A dark mountain that stretches from horizon to horizon.
Tadpoles circling in a deeply shadowed pool.
The stars of heaven sprouting and growing into blazing plants and trees of strange, new kinds.
Hands reaching up out of the earth, filled with light.
A crown.
A severed ear.
A vast serpent winding through canyons, filling it nearly to the rim, causing avalanches and floods.
A mountainous sandstorm, made of locusts.
Hiding a stain of blood in your clothes under other clothes.
A mountain that flies through the clouds on which shines a paradise.
The insects pollination of the flowers.
A plain of gravel, raking it into vast, ornamental pictures only to be seen from space.
Climbing down a well until the sun shining through the mouth is too small to be seen, and the warmth is increasing.
A peacock flying in a forest.
A ballistae whose spears pierce lines of armored men and armored horses.
Building mountain ranges by fitting giant stones together.
Mount Rushmore.
A vast cloak loosed and falling to the earth from tall shoulders.
Human sacrifice in the cenotes.
The stone inscriptions of an ancient city so worn shallow that their reading is an unfathomable mystery.
The angel standing in the sun, calling the birds to feast on the fallen army.
The open gates of a Scandinavian great hall at the homecoming of the chieftain.

What do you think?
What parts stand out to you? Does it give you any ideas? Do you have a question about some part? Does any of it remind you of something?

Please critique!
