A shining shadow.
A long, dark arrow vanishing into the grey shafts of falling rain in a storm.
Thunder clouds deep underground.
The shadow of an indistinguishable bird that eclipses the sun.
The moon as the single eye of a towering giant, that slowly strides through the sky, and even more slowly blinks its one eye.
Bound to a post by wires.
A dry river bed, profoundly deep. If you listen, you can hear a vast river flowing, and if you fall in, you will drown.
A black tower seen in the evening, whose foundation is as impossible to find as the foundation of a rainbow.
A board-game played according to an ancient book.
The curve of a rising eagle.
A scepter as high as a staff.
Breaking the enemy’s neck with a hammer.
A long caravan moving through a colorless, grey plain of stones, exposed to the gaze of the sun, moon, and stars, like an amphitheater above them, without even a cloud of dust to hide them, and without even sand to cushion the fall of their feet.
Viewed across the endless plain of snow, the northern sun, crowned lights, and never setting.
The shadow on a sundial.
Gazing up with a telescope into the eye of a watching eagle.
A man killed by hailstones in the mountains.
A lord that rules and is never seen.
An Elizabethan beard.
The chime of Big Ben, tolling the twelfth hour: midnight.
Marooned on the inescapable top of an ancient ziggurat, the first that was ever made.
In an opaque fog, meeting a stranger, who seems to have no place in your age.
The weight of a pall.
The sun seen from pluto.
Carrying an unlit torch through the dark.
Casting four anchors out of a ship.
The antennae of a motionless butterfly.
Lodestone clinging to an axe.
The jagged highlights of snow on a cedar hedge at night.
The dark robes of a wizard, in flames that light the night, but without burning.
Smoke rising from a well.

What do you think?
What parts stand out to you? Does it give you any ideas? Do you have a question about some part? Does any of it remind you of something?

Please critique!
